3-amino-1,2-propanediol, also known by its common name Isoserinol, is a chemical compound with the molecular formula C3H9NO2. It is an amino alcohol, meaning it contains both an amino group (-NH2) and a hydroxyl group (-OH) attached to a propane backbone.
Isoserinol has a structure where the amino group is attached to the first carbon of a three-carbon chain (propane), and the hydroxyl group is attached to the second carbon.
